The 2025–2026 Track and Field Competition has come to a close. This season featured 14 weeks of pointscore competition, along with our opening round and the inaugural Nowra Athletics Club Pentathlon.
Unfortunately, seven washouts impacted the season – five of them consecutively at the tail end, preventing us from wrapping things up with active competition.
There were some clear winners across several categories, but also some very close contests. In Women’s C Grade, Isla Saviane took out the field competition with 780 points, finishing just 50 points ahead of Chelsea Corbridge. On the track, however, Chelsea claimed the win with 700 points to Isla’s 660.
In D Grade, Hazel Saviane secured the track title with 660 points, narrowly edging out Lani Parmenter by just 30 points.
There were also many identical placings across both track and field, highlighting that consistent participation is key. In D Grade, Benjamin Emmerton won both track and field, with Willy Sproule placing second in both. Similarly, in E Grade, Xander Day topped both categories, followed by Hamish Bennett and Leo Krizanovic.
Keeping in mind that athletes must compete in at least 50% of competition nights to be eligible for end-of-season medals and trophies, the winners of each grade across track and field are:

This season was another big one, with an impressive 33 records set by 13 athletes across the competition. From the 14 weeks of programmed events, there was just one week where no records were broken; an incredible achievement.
Leading the way was Anne Boatswain, who set a remarkable 11 records over the season. The next top performer (or more accurately, thrower) was Tim Musson with 7 records to his name. The Naylor family also made their mark, with multiple members setting records; proving that throwing talent definitely runs in the family!
