The first week of the 2026-2027 track and field season kicked off on Wednesday 2nd September with a non-point score round. It was wonderful to welcome back so many familiar faces, along with lots of new athletes and families.

Declan Bennett had a good win in the 1500m from a field of twenty athletes. It was great to see a range of ages represented across the field from masters runners such as regular participants Andrew Heffill, Peter Dooley and Mitchell Emmerton to tiny tots including Grace Parmenter and Sophie Giumelli.
