Nowra athletes continue to compete far and wide with great success.
At the High Velocity Meet IV in Campbelltown on 31st January, Riley Sandstrom proudly represented Nowra with strong performances across multiple events. Riley clocked 13.45 in the 100m and 27.73 in the 200m, and produced an impressive throw of 32.97m in the discus.
At the NSW Milers Series Meet held at Georges Hall on 5th February, Lily Sproule competed in the 800m, running a solid 2:20.42. In the 2000m steeplechase, Evie Binney delivered a determined effort to place 3rd in a time of 7:50.03.
Jonah Watson competed at the High Velocity Meet in Illawong on 7th February, lining up in the 110m hurdles and recording a good run of 18.52.
Meanwhile in the ACT, at Capital Athletics Summer Series No. 9, our masters athletes were in fine form. Erin Smart sprinted 13.06 in the 100m, finishing 4th in her mixed-age heat. In the 800m, Matt Reid took out his heat in 2:16.93, with Gavin Dyball finishing 3rd in the same race in 2:29.22.
