Kerrie Jones has had another successful weekend of throws competition.
Kerrie competed in the Australian Masters Athletics (AMA) Heavy Weight Pentathlon at the Argentille Equestrian Centre, Lovedale on Sunday 20th July 2025.
Kerrie claimed gold in the 70–74 years category with a total of 2450 points, setting a new indoor throws record. She originally set the record in July last year, then surpassed it by 23 points at the NSW Championships in June. This time, she raised the bar even higher – improving her own record by an impressive 95 points! It’s a testament to her dedication, consistency, and relentless pursuit of improvement.
Kerrie’s individual results were:
3kg weight – 9.74m
4kg weight – 9.19m
5.45kg weight – 7.66m
7.26kg weight -6.80m
9.08kg weight – 5.59m
This is an outstanding all-round performance from Kerrie, proving once again that age is no barrier to excellence. Her drive to continually raise her own standard is truly inspiring.
