The Frank McCaffrey Award honours the memory and legacy of Frank McCaffrey, founder of the Nowra Athletics Club. Frank’s vision and dedication saw Nowra Athletics Club established in 1960, and his ongoing support and encouragement left a lasting mark on our club community.
This prestigious award recognises a great performance by an individual club member or club team within the past 12 months of the athletics season. It celebrates outstanding achievement that reflects the spirit of determination, excellence, and pride that Frank embodied.
Nomination Criteria:
The performance may be at club, regional, state, national or international level
Can be awarded to an individual athlete or a club team (such as a relay team)
The performance should stand out as a significant achievement for the club
Consideration is given to sportsmanship, effort, and representation of club values
