The Kiama Costal Classic was held on Sunday June 22nd. This event takes in breathtaking views of the Kiama coastline although it certainly challenges runners with its hills.
Elisha Bell was the outstanding performer for Nowra, being the first female home out of 197 female entrants in the 12km event. Elisha was ninth overall out of 324 runners in a time of 58.40.

Also in the 12km event, Rebecca Cooper and Angela Bond finished 103rd and 104th respectively. Rebecca was the 46th female and 12th in the 30-39 years group, clocking 1.22.11 whilst Angela was 47th female and 3rd in the 50-59 years group with 1.22.12.
Ming Leung backed up after contesting the NSW Cross Country Championships the day before and tackled the 21km. Ming finished as the 16th male in the 50-59 years group, and was 157th from a field of 365 in a time of 2.22.03.
According to Elisha Bell, “the conditions were spectacular, whales were sighted and there was wet and muddy feet to be had, although the day was enjoyed immensely”.
