A small and friendly group of runners took to the starting line on November 21st at Nowra Wharf.
The Emmerton crew returned from their Stromlo Running Festival last Saturday keen and upbeat. Alex continued his unbeaten record in the 3km, crossing the line a mere 9 seconds in front of Dad, Mitchell. Younger brother Ben was a close third. The new recruit to Nowra Athletics Club, Melissa, completed the field.
In the 5km, Sky Martin pipped Alex Arnold by 1 second to take line honours. Scott Martin, returning to Friday night, took third, pipping Perry Strand by 1 second. The handicap placings were interesting with the first 4 runners posting times 35.24, 35.25, 35.26 and 35.27 respectively.

Next week we are again at ‘The Wharf’ Nowra, then on the 5th December, we’ll be at Bernie Regan, North Nowra.
We will finish Friday Night Walk, Run and Chat for the year at the Beach Road, Gerroa National Park Trail on December 12th. This is a change to the program, prompted by our runners who were keen to return to this course earlier in the season when it was cancelled.
