Cross country returned to Huskisson on Saturday 25th July. In the 1km event Luca Sturgiss crossed first in 6:03 followed by Ayla Parmenter in 6:54 then Olive Sturgiss in 7:34.
Peter Dooley took the win in the 2km event in 10:10 followed by Zayne Taylor with the fastest time of 8:55. Lani Parmenter was third in 12:08 followed by Grace Parmenter in 15:52 then Hamish Bennett in 13:23.
Mitch Emmerton claimed the victory in the 3km event in 16:51. Declan Bennett was second and the fastest in 12:58 while Alex Arnold was third in 19:08. Alex Emmerton followed in 16:31 then Walter Cisneros (16:27), Jack Kinsele (14:21), Ari Cisneros (16:27), Malachy Martin (21:11) and Ben Emmerton (18:45).
Medium course had a field of 14 runners and it was Natasha Toms who took the points for the win in 33:27. Tony Lim was second in 27:11 and Matt Kinsele was third in 23:27. Dean Bryce closely followed in 23:52 then Steve McCullagh (24:29), Mark Parmenter (30:02), Sam Keogh (26:18), Paige Connolly-Davies (25:58) and Katie Martin (33:11). Ron Cozijnsen had a great run of 24:22 as did Annette Sampson with 26:50. Scott Armstrong recorded the fastest time of 20:25 in twelfth place followed by Sky Martin (33:25) and Lisa Carroll (29:46).
This week saw Matt Reid step up to long course and take the win in 40:36. Scott Johnson was second in 53:15 with Rebecca Cooper on his heels in 53:11. Scott Martin was fourth in 43:38 then Peter Khourey completed the field in 55:17.
