The 2025 Albie Thomas Mile was held on 20th December at The Crest Athletics Track, with Nowra well represented by seven athletes and some outstanding performances across the program.
In the Mile events, Oliver Baxter produced a fantastic run in the C race, finishing second in a quick 4:18.74. Harrison Baxter competed in the B race, placing eighth in 4:19.68. Hamish McLaren recorded a personal best of 4:49.32 in the G race, while Gavin Dyball had a solid run in the J race, finishing in 5:50.99.

Over 800m, William Dyball ran strongly in the B race to claim third place in 1:53.44.

Macca Davis delivered a confident performance to win the J race in 2:24.77, narrowly edging out Cherrybrook athlete Benson Armstrong (2:25.73).

In the field events, Hamish McLaren threw an impressive 43.42m in the open javelin to finish tenth, while Flynn Kelly leapt 5.76m in the long jump.

Well done to all athletes on their performances and representation of Nowra at this iconic event.
