Membership fees for 2025/26
With the current financial climate placing a strain on families, Nowra Athletics Club have retained all fees for the 2025/2026 season at 2023/2024 prices to support participation in the great sport of athletics.
Please note, our fees are configured with the ANSW set component and then a club fee added on top. This is the only source of revenue for our Club.
We have not added any dollars to the cost of our youngest athletes. The $70 fee for children born in 2022 and 2021 and the $90 fee for children born in 2020 is set by ANSW, so the Club does not gain any money from this registration. However, we are committed to encouraging the very youngest to join our Club and have fun with athletics for their entire journey through our sport.
For our junior athletes, from 7’s up to our 16’s, the Club fee portion is just $20.
There is no cost for volunteers, administrators or officials.
For anyone experiencing genuine financial hardship, please reach out to the Club.

National Athletes Discount
As a gesture of recognition for the outstanding achievements of our athletes, the Club is pleased to offer a 50% discount on the Club component of registration fees to athletes who have represented at the national level in the previous season. This initiative not only acknowledges the hard work and success of our high-performing members but also aims to encourage them to continue their journey with our Club community. For these athletes, the discount will be offered via a reimbursement after the fee is paid. Please contact us after you have completed your registration.

Age groups
Age groups for membership categories/costs are determined by Athletics NSW. Following widespread feedback from the community, NSW Athletics has simplified the age group terminology for junior athletics across the state for the 2025/2026 season. These changes aim to provide greater clarity and consistency for athletes, parents, and clubs. The double-barrelled age group names (e.g. “13’s (U14)”) have been replaced with simplified terminology such as “13s,” “14s,” etc.
All athletes, both in NSW and nationally, compete in age groups based on year of birth.

Open & Masters Age Groups
The Open age group will remain as per previous seasons with no additional changes. Minimum ages for events in the Open category will be outlined in the Competition rules related to the specific competition.
Master’s age groups will still be determined as per the first day of competition, as per World Masters Athletics rules.
Multi-Club Membership Policy
The Multi-Club Membership Policy enables athletes to hold membership with 2 Clubs. If an eligible athlete wishes to be a member of a second Club, they will be required to submit an online expression of interest form for validation and approval by staff. The Expression of interest form can be found here.
The full policy from NSW Athletics is here Multi-Club Membership Policy July 14072025 FINAL v3
The Multi-Club Membership is available to the following age groups as per the grid below

In summary:
- For those aged 13 and up: They can hold a full competitive membership with up to two clubs.
- Registration with their first club is done via that club’s registration portal. For example, register with Nowra Athletic Club HERE. This membership costs the full list price.
- Registration for the second club is done via application, completing and submitting the form found here. The cost for this can vary from club to club. A ‘second club’ membership with Nowra Athletics Club varies from $20 to $70 depending on the age category.
- For those aged 13 and up (including Masters):
- Athletes can represent either club at higher-level events (details to be specified on entry).
- At State relays, they can compete for both clubs, but not in the same event or age group.
- For those aged 12 and under: They can hold one full competitive membership and a community membership with any number of other clubs.
For example, a 10-year-old can join Shoalhaven Little Athletics to compete at all Little A’s Club nights and compete for Shoalhaven Little Athletics at Zone and Regional Championships. The athlete may also wish to also participate in Nowra’s Wednesday night competition. If they choose a community membership with Nowra Athletics Club in addition to their full competitive membership with the Little Athletics Centre, they will still be eligible to break Nowra club records, earn points, win trophies, etc. However, as a community member with Nowra Athletics Club they will not be eligible for championships and events conducted by NSW Athletics.
Club Uniform
Local Club Competitions: Wearing the Club uniform is optional at our local Club competitions — although we do love to see our athletes proudly sporting the black and gold!
Representative Events: The Club uniform is mandatory for all Athletics NSW, State, Championship, and Team events. Athletes must wear either the club singlet or crop top, paired with plain black shorts, tights, or bike pants (preferably without prominent branding).
Uniform Compliance: As per Athletics NSW policy, athletes not in correct club uniform will not be permitted to start unless they have received prior dispensation from the General Manager – Sport Delivery (or delegate).
- If a uniform issue is identified after a race has started, the athlete will receive a warning on the first offence.
- A second offence will result in disqualification, which may be applied retrospectively.
Financial Assistance Obligations: Athletes who apply for or receive financial support from the Club are expected to wear the Club uniform at all representative or organised athletics events, unless they are required to wear a State or National uniform in line with event regulations.
The Committee retains the discretion to decline financial assistance for Open National Competitions or major meets if an athlete fails to meet this uniform requirement. We believe that when financial assistance is provided, it’s only fair that the supporting Club is visibly recognised.
Uniform Sales: Only a limited supply of uniforms are available for sale at our Wednesday track and field meets. Please order online at Sports Magic. See below for the link.
The current uniform sales period will close off on 14th September. When ordering please select Club pick up. Please note, once the final order is in it’s a 3–4-week turnaround before the merchandise is received.
All items will be distributed to you at the track.
