In the junior groups, Josie Sproule recorded the highest jump with 1.25m. William Heffill and Heidi Saviane both cleared 1.20m, Emerson Boatswain 1.15m, Benjamin Sproule and Braxton Naylor both 1.10m, Declan Bennett 1.05m and Chelsea Corbridge 1m. Isla Saviane jumped 95cm.
In the youngest age groups, Benjamin Emmerton jumped 90cm, Hazel Saviane and Lani Parmenter 80cm, and both Willy Sproule and Xander Day cleared 70cm. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm and athleticism on display.
In the javelin, Timothy Musson threw an impressive 36.78m, and not far behind was 16-year-old Kadance Naylor with 33.78m. Lauren Naylor’s throw of 20.45m was just ahead of Braxton Naylor’s 20.07m. Masters thrower Kerrie Jones recorded 12.45m, while Mel Jennings threw 13.51m.
