On Wednesday 5th November, we painted the track pink to raise awareness and funds for those impacted by breast cancer – and what a night it was!
Our athletes didn’t just turn the track pink; they filled it with heart, hope and healthy competition. Together we raised over $200 – thank you to everyone for your generosity, spirit and style!
It was wonderful to see so many athletes and families pretty in pink, from socks and capes to tutus and wigs.
Congratulations to our Best Dressed winners Emerson Boatswain and Kayleigh Kingdom, and to our highly commended pink superhero, Josie Sproule – you truly embodied the pink spirit!

Pink power clearly translated into performance too!
Anne Boatswain, dressed in pink, broke yet another record; throwing 9.64m in shot put, bettering her own mark of 9.52m set just weeks earlier. Other impressive efforts came from Nicholas Masini (11.16m), Tim Musson (11.12m), Kadance Naylor (10.51m), Hamish McLaren (9.42m) and Miriam Spry (9.07m).

In Discus C Grade, Braxton Naylor threw a strong 24.97m, Ben Sproule reached 18.80m, and new member Merelei Falemone made a great debut with 15.72m.
It was also fantastic to see Kerrie Jones back on the field after her success at the Australian Masters Games; dressed head to toe in pink, with throws of 13.97m in discus and 6.10m in shot put.

The juniors brought plenty of pink energy to the long jump pit, stretching their efforts with big smiles. Great jumping from Xander Day (2.26m), Talekai Puckeridge (2.03m), Leo Krizanovic (2.01m), Grace Parmenter (1.30m) and Rosie Saviane (1.30m).
On the track, pink power ruled!
In the 800m, Declan Bennett took the win for the boys in 2:56.92, while Piper Browne claimed the girls’ heat in 3:08.52.
Among the seniors, Lily Sproule stormed home in 2:37.03, and Harrison Baxter took out the men’s race in 2:17.83. Husband and wife duo Simon and Stephanie Donougher both finished 7th in their respective races, while Gavin Dyball grabbed family bragging rights by crossing 3rd in 2:41.39, just ahead of Will Dyball, who cruised home 4th in 2.41.46 after his big Oceania Cup performance.
In the 2000m, Leith Babian led the way with a strong 7:06.94, followed by Alex Morrison (7:22.69) and Declan Bennett (8:20.04).

Special mention to our young runners including 7-year-old Lottie Morrison (11:45.90) and 5-year-old Grace Parmenter (12:06.01), for their enthusiasm and effort!
The sprints were just as lively, with Jonah Watson clocking 24.87 for 200m, and Hamish McLaren making a welcome return to the sprints in 27.58. Teens Maiya Donougher (30.51) and Evie Smart (30.86) showed great form too.
As always, Nathan Rose brought the biggest smile to the track, finishing the 200m in 43.19 and the 800m in 4:04.21 proving pink is not just a colour, it’s an attitude!

From the sea of pink outfits to the standout performances, it was a night full of fun and community.
Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped us ‘pink it up’ for a great cause!
