Athletes with full membership are able to enter competition events with NSW Athletics and since the 2025-26 season kicked off, several of our members have taken advantage of the opportunities on offer.
Ada Houldsworth contested the 400m at the Campbelltown High Velocity Meet (HVM) on October 4th, running a solid 1:05.23.
At the Treloar Shield 1 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre (SOPAC) on October 11th, Loretta Norris placed 2nd in the 800m with a time of 2:34.55.
Three athletes represented the club at the second Treloar Shield on October 18th at SOPAC. Ada Houldsworth ran the 400m again, bettering her time from the HVM to 1.04.42. Will Dyball also ran the 400m in the Open division, finishing in 51.12 for 12th place overall. Meanwhile, Hamish McLaren smashed his 3000m steeplechase personal best by 10 seconds, taking the win in 10:26.83.
Further afield, Harrison Baxter took part in the 2025 Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival on Sunday, October 12th. Harrison had a fantastic run, taking the win in the Dairy Farmers 5km Run with a PB of 14:36 – an outstanding effort against a strong field.
