This Wednesday 23rd September the pointscore competition will commence. Events kicks off at 6pm so please arrive on time.
Athletics NSW Membership still hasn’t opened. We are told it will open on 28th September. Once registrations open we will send out clear step by step instructions on how to register for the 2020/21 Season.
As a volunteer-run Club we need helpers for the competition to run smoothly each Wednesday night. No experience or skills necessary; just a willingness to lend a hand. Without assistance, we may be not be able to hold all events each week. Please don’t be shy. Come and talk to a committee member and offer your service. Every little bit of help is appreciated and many hands make light work
We need to remind everyone that we need to operate each Wednesday covid-safe. Last week we were remiss in applying some necessary tactics and we apologise for this.
We have updated our Covid Safe plan in line with Government guidelines.
An attendance register must be kept for all athletes, parents/carers, officials, committee members, spectators and anyone else who attends so please check in using the QR code provided at the ground or sign in on the paper register.
We ask everyone to:
- Check in upon arrival and sanitise your hands upon arrival
- Keep 1.5m between people when not in a race/competing. Physical distancing does not apply to “on the field of play”.
- Avoid physical contact including shaking hands, high fives or hugging
- Please have one person recording at the events to avoid having to share pens/clipboards
- Use sanitising stations around the ground and at each individual event. Athletes should wash or sanitise their hands before they start handling equipment at each event
- It is not expected that each piece of field equipment will be washed and sanitised after each time it is used, but it is expected that the equipment be cleaned before an event commences as well as after an event finishes. If we can get some assistance to wipe down equipment once the event is finished, it would be very much appreciated.
- We will not be using the number system at the end of the races to avoid more sharing of equipment. Runners will need to listen to place judges and remember their placing to tell the recorder.
- Please do not lean on the recorders table – stand back from the table when giving your name and place. Respect the physical distancing guidelines.
