Whilst many of the Club members travelled to Miranda on Saturday 25th May to compete in the State Relays, there were still plenty of enthusiastic contenders completing the local cross country course at Timberhills.
In the 1km event there were 3 mighty participants with Malachy Martin taking line honours In front of Rowan Brignall and Aiden McLaren.
In the 2km Division 1 was claimed by sole participant Lily Sproule. In Division 2 Dylan Cox took the points for the win followed by Josie Sproule then Heidi McLaren and Scott McLaren.
Division 3 was won by Emily McLaren in 12:28 with Darcy Arnold second and Anna Duncan third. Whilst Hamish McLaren was fourth across the line, he was actually the fastest, just edging out his sister Emily in a time of 12:27. Fifth was William Anderson and sixth was Tom Duncan.
In Division 2 Jody Brignall was first with Alison Havadjia second, Katie Martin third and Christine Anderson fourth.
Medium course was taken out by Bradley Sawyers in the fastest time of 22:04 with Bridget Fairs second and Ethan Havadjia third.
In Division 2 there were just 4 participants and the finishing order was Phil Duncan, Dean Bryce, Frances Fairs then Lucy Duncan.
Division 3 winner was Andrew Havadjia in front of Di Court and Alex Arnold and John Price.
In long course Matt Lewis claimed line honours and the fastest time (41:16). Andy Waller was second (55:46) and Michael Duncan was third (1:00:18).
Long course Division 2 had the most entries of the day. Victory went to Sue Strand followed by Milton Cox and David Hughes. Next was Graham Anderson, then Rob Woods, Rebecca Cooper, Wayne Williams, Natasha Toms and Sky Martin.
