Whilst many members were competing at State Cross Country Championships at Willandra on June 22nd, those more interested in a local encounter, competed at Timberhills for Round 11 of Nowra Athletics Club Winter competition.
Numbers were understandably low, with no 1km contenders and just one runner; Myra Betts, in the 2km event.
In the 3km William Anderson was first home in 15:54 then Anna Duncan was second in 14:17 and Tom Duncan was third in 16:44. Jasper Leung took out Division 2 and Harriet Urquhart was second.
Medium course winner was Lucas Johnson followed by Bridget Fairs then Ethan Havadjia, Bradley Sawyers and Paul Duncan. Bradley Sawyers recorded the fastest time of 20:57.
Division 2 was claimed by Alastair Urquhart with Lucy Duncan second and Phil Duncan third. Dean Bryce and Frances Fairs rounded out Division 2. Megan Fitt took the points for the win in Division 3 with Caitlyn Fairs running in second and Lisa Carroll third. Angela Urquhart was fourth, Andrew Havadjia fifth and Gavin Urquhart sixth.
Long course victory went to Scott Johnson in a time of 49:56 whilst Richard Bosdyk was second in 55:05 and Peter Khourey was third in 53:39.

A small, but enthusiastic field of runners certainly enjoyed the sunshine and hospitality of Timberhills.
