It was a smaller crowd at Huskisson on Saturday for cross country competition whilst many of our runners were competing in the State cross country relays.
In the 2km event there were just two member competitors with Jason Hehir clocking 8:54 and Isabella Mitchell recording 13:19.
There were sixteen registered athletes in the 3km event. Peter Dooley took line honours in 14:07 whilst Alison Havadjia ran in second in 22:08 stealing bragging rights over Andrew Havadjia who was third in 21:12. Matt Reid was fastest on course, finishing in 12:42 whilst Archie Higgins in fifteenth was second fastest with 13:21. Meanwhile Zoe Musson was fastest female, crossing the line in fifth place with a time of 14:00.
Liam Dooley visited his old Club and crossed first in medium course in 23:04 whilst Natasha Toms was the points winner in 34:00. Lucy Duncan took second place points in 32:06 and Eva-Maria Moeller-Duhme took third place in 40:54. Angela Urquhart was next home in 29:59 and Steven McCullagh rounded out the field in 27:12.
Long course was won by Perry Strand in 47:06 with Scott Johnson taking second in 53:53 and Elisha Bell claiming third in 47:33. Rebecca Cooper was officially fourth in 54:29 followed by Dean Bryce in 52:01 and back marker Bradley Sawyers completed the field with the quickest time of 38:25.
