There were 9 runners in the 3km event at Longreach Rd on Saturday 10th August. Kai Thirwall took the win in 12.42 followed by Tom Smart in 12.26, which was the fastest time over this distance. In 3rd place was Cathleen Chang in 16.48 followed by Macarthur Davis in 12.39 and then Evie Smart in 14.41. Sprinter Tom Brookes was 6th in 14.25, Archie Gallagher was 7th in 25.08 and Cayden Veran was 8th in 26.01. Completing the field was Naomi Gallagher in 26.03.
In medium course, Donna Johnson took the win in 36.36. Eva Moeller-Duhme ran in 2nd in 36.00 whilst Hamish McLaren was 3rd in the quickest time of 15.55. Scott Armstrong had a great run for 4th in 16.46 and was followed by the very consistent Alex Arnold in 25.45. Erin Smart was 6th in 20.07, Dennis Smart was 7th in 18.29, Angela Bond was 8th in 24.13 and Emily McLaren was 9th in 24.02.
Long course also had 9 competitors and it was Brad Sawyers who led the way home in a time of 36.25. Daniel Wood was 2nd in 38.50 and Glenn Sansom was 3rd in 53.08. Rebecca Cooper was 4th in 54.08 and Perry Strand was 5th in 46.44. Graham Anderson finished in 7th in 52.56 and Erich Moeller-Duhme was 8th in 1.04.11 whilst Elisha Bell unfortunately had to pull out of the event.
