Round 3 of the Winter point score was held at the beautiful Billy Jean Park in Tomerong on Saturday 20th April 2024.
Luke Bennett won the 1km in 6:17 and Steve Dent was 2nd in 6:22.
In the 2km event Sam Bennett was first home in 6.15. Mila Bozikov was 2nd in 07:14, Madison Sandstrom was 3rd in 12:16 and Winter Bell was 4th in 12:33.
In the 3km race there were 17 competitors and Jack Kinsele took the win in 15:07 whilst Miller Bell was 2nd in 15:15 and Madeline Oke was 3rd in 12:54. Macarthur Davis was 4th but was the fastest runner over this distance, finishing in 11:56. Then the Smart trifecta followed with Erin Smart 5th, Tom Smart 6th and Evie Smart 7th.
Medium course was contested by 13 runners and was won by Andrew Parry in 26:23. Riley Haig was 2nd in 23:23 and Elissa Calderwood was 3rd in 27:28. Oliver Baxter clocked the fastest time of 17:10, crossing in 5th place.
Long course winner was Harrison Baxter, who was also the fastest with 39:21. Martin Bell was 2nd in 48:31 and Marcus Baxter was 3rd in 42:54. Rob Oke was 4th in 46:2, Perry Strand was 5th in 46:39, Dean Bryce was 6th in 47:15 and Graham Anderson was 7th in 51:49.
It’s great to see the fields growing in size as we start to move through the rounds. Competitors are reminded to register as a member, if they haven’t yet done so, before the end of May.
