Round 2 of Cross Country was held at Longreach on 23rd April.
The 2kms was contested by three athletes. Jack Kinsele was first home in 5:48 followed by Aidan McLaren and then Heidi McLaren.
In the 3kms there were thirteen participants with Alisha Mustapic taking line honours in 17:26 whilst Gavin Urquhart was second in 19:41 and Airlie Stevens was third in 15:39. Matt Reid was fastest, crossing in 13.06 in sixth place. Erin Smart was the fastest female clocking 14.40 as she crossed in tenth place.
Medium course was taken out by Angela Bond in 33:03, which was the fastest female time, with Glen Mustapic second in 30:34 and Alex Arnold third in 37:25. Fastest runner over this distance was Harrison Baxter who crossed in 21.59. Next fastest was Nicholas McGill who clocked 22:21.
In long course visiting runner Heidi Hutton was first in 52:09 which was the quickest female time. Second was Rebecca Cooper in 54:20 and third was Scott Johnson in 55:47. Bradley Sawyers crossed sixth in the overall fastest time of 37:56.
