There were small numbers at Huskisson on Saturday 12th August for the 2nd last round of Winter Cross Country Competition.
In the 1km event 7-year-old runner Hayley Astin-Briggs completed the distance in 9:45.
The 2km event was won by Malachy Martin in 12:54 followed by Ashleigh Astin-Briggs in 14:25 and then Joshua Astin-Briggs in 15:03.
In the 3km event there were just 3 competitors with Glenn Sansom taking the win in 16:30. Peter Dooley was 2nd in 14:15 and Emerson Boatswain was 3rd in 16:40.
Medium course had 13 competitors and it was Natasha Toms who took line honours in 32:22. Katie Martin was 2nd in 27:50 and Gavin Dyball completed the podium in 22:59. Daniel Wood was 4th across the line in 21:15 followed by Sky Martin in 36:49 and then Alex Arnold in 30:55. Lisa Carroll was 7th in 31:01 and then in 8th place was Lily Sproule as the fastest female with a time of 22:34. Nicholas McGill was the fastest on course for this distance with 18:25 in 9th place. The field was rounded out by Angela Bond, Donna Johnson, Sharyn Bryce and Bill Turnbull.
Long course winner was Julia Mitchell in 57:39. Coming in 2nd was Dean Bryce in 48:56 and 3rd was Scott Martin who was the quickest in this event with a time of 42:29. Peter Khourey was 4th in 50:04 whilst Graham Anderson was 5th in 50:17, Perry Strand was 6th in 48:02 and Scott Johnson was 7th in 52:17.
