Husky Running Festival and the NSW Master’s Championships limited Friday Night Walk, Run and Socialise participation to a small, but keen contingent of walkers and runners on Friday 21st February. Cool weather and vista views of St Georges Basin were a feature of the evening and were enjoyed by all. The newly completed million dollar plus boardwalk was enjoyed by all.
2Km:
Deb Sansom might have been the solo runner in the 2km event, but there’s no denying her improvement since returning to running. Deb crossed the line in 12.43 to record a win and a huge comeback PB. Walkers Karen Sawyers, Kate Feney, Rob McDonald, René and Alex Arnold took in the scenery and the beautiful ambience.
5Km:
Powerhouse walker Donna Johnson notched her second win in a row. Donna looked very focused and determined. Taking advantage of her friendly handicap time, Donna pipped Jasper Arnold for line honours. Scott Johnson showing superb form finishing a close third.

To celebrate all achievements at Friday Night Walk, Run and Socialise, a fun run will be held at Jervis Bay Brewery on Friday March 7th. Starting from the brewery, runnerswill have the option of running 2 or 4 km. No timing, just chat and cheer. Runners will then relax with drinks, food and plenty more chat at JB Brewery. Put it in your social diary.
