Round 10 of Nowra Athletics cross country competition was held on a wet track on Saturday 10th June at Longreach.
Despite the puddles most runners improved their times.
Micah Procter won the 1km event followed by Saxon Egan and Elsie Procter.

Jasper Arnold was third.

Next weekend the ‘Willandra Classic’ will take place at our home course. All members are invited to join in the running fun at the beautiful Willandra Course, As local runners know the course winds itself up and down the trails below Browns mountain and shows just why this event is now coined ‘the XCC Challenge’!
For those of us who cant quite bring ourselves to the long distance challenge, not to worry, the event has a range of suitable options for participants of all ages and abilities, with a 2km or 4km Fun Run as an alternative to the champioship distances. The 2017 XCC Challenge incorporates the 2017 NSW Cross Country Championship as part of the event and all entry details can be found online at Athletics NSW. Online entries close Wednesday 14th June.
Club members are reminded that there will be a Cake Stall on the day and donations of cakes and slices will be much appreciated.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Willandra next Saturday with the first event kicking off at 11.20am.
