There were plenty of eager athletes ready to run on the long weekend.
Hayley Astin-Briggs completed the 1km course in 10:22.
In the 2km race Joshua Astin-Briggs was 1st home in 07:52. Next home was Ashleigh Astin-Briggs in 13:48 followed by Elijah Junor-Cook in 10:42 then Rebecca Junor-Cook in 12:50 and Winter Bell in 14:26.
William Anderson took out the 3km race in 15:13. Miller Bell was 2nd in 15:37 and Emerson Boatswain was 3rd in 12:13. The next 3 places were taken out by the Davis family – Elizabeth Davis was 4th in 13:16, Macarthur Davis was 5th in 12:00 and Harry Davis was 6th in 16:00. Peter Dooley was 7th in 12:38, Toby Graham was 8th in 13:19 and Mikaela Monkerud was 9th in 13:20. Ryder Monkerud was 10th in 15:58 whilst Madeline Oke was 11th in 13:42 and Olivia Oke was 12th in 16:17. Hugh Thirlwall was the fastest over this distance, finishing in 13th place in 11:54. Kai Thirlwall was 14th in 13:21, Glenn Sansom was 15th in 16:01 and rounding out the field was Katrina Ward in 19:01.
Medium course was won by Alex Arnold in 24:58. Ann Swinbourne was 2nd home in 27.31 and Eva-Maria Moeller-Duhme was 3rd in 32:03. Newcomer Daniel Wood returned for the 2nd week in a row and finished 4th in 17.24. Mia Monkerud was 5th in 18:03, Donna Johnson was 6th in 32:34 and Nicholas McGill was 7th in 15:20 which was the fastest time on course. Lily Sproule was 8th in 18:57 followed by Sharyn Bryce, Lisa Carroll and Emily McLaren.
Long course had 9 participants. Darcy Davis was the victor in 40:36, which was the fastest time. Cathleen Chang was 2nd in 48:33 and Mark Thirlwall was 3rd in 43:39. Jasper Arnold was 4th in 42:34, Martin Bell was 5th in 50:40 and Graham Anderson was 6th in 49:16. Scott Johnson finished in 7th place in 50:40 with Dean Bryce 8th in 51:17 and Elisha Bell 9th in 53:39.
