Round 3 of the Nowra Athletics Club Winter Pointscore competition took place on Saturday 16th April at Huskisson.
With a few amendments to the previous course all participants enjoyed this run which is likely to be the last time the course is used for cross country due to some logistical issues.
Callula Norwood was the fastest runner across 1 kilometre in 5.23 minutes. Harry Thomson was second in 5.37 minutes and Lexie Burinaga was a tight third in 5.39 minutes.
In the 2 kilometre event Kate Leung was the fastest female runner crossing the line first in 9.04 minutes. Henry Adams was next across the line, followed by Cameron Harrison.
In Division 2 Roxi Florance was first home, followed by Tracy Holt and then Kelly Norwood.
The 3 kilometre event was taken out by Scott Delo. William Pratt took second place and Wil Osgood ran in third. In Division 2 the winner was Emily Burinaga. Ella Dyball ran in second and Gavin Dyball was third.
Medium course entries were down this week however the enthusiasm of those who did compete was certainly high. It was Dion Carter who crossed first, followed by Teresha Moxham who clocked the fastest female time of 20.22 minutes. Ethan Havadjia, always full of determination, crossed the line in third place.
Division 2 had just 6 competitors this week. Ian Robinson was first in this division with Jackson Cleary second and Megan Fitt third.
Division 3 was contested by just 5 competitors who all finished within two seconds of each other. Alex Arnold took the line honours with Alison Havadjia second, Steve Thomson third, Donna Johnson fourth and John Price fifth.
Last, but certainly not least, the long course was run and won by Michael Duncan. Annie Schofield was second and long-term member Milton Cox took a well-deserved third. Bradley Sawyers crossed in fifth place but clocked the fastest time across the distance in 36.59 minutes whilst Elisha Bell was once again the fastest female with a time of 39.11 minutes.
Division 2 line honours were an all-male affair with first place claimed by David Hughes. Hard working Rob Woods was second and Gary Bowen was third.
Well done to all who competed and thank you to all those who assisted on the day.
