The NSW Milers III was held at The Crest Athletics Track on Thursday 12th December. Nowra had just 2 athletes competing, both contesting the steeplechase event. Evie Binney had a good season opener in the 2000m steeplechase with a time of 7.46.35 whilst Hamish McLaren clocked 10.37.46 in the 3000m steeple.
NSW Milers IV was then held on Saturday 21st December and at this meet, Nowra was represented by 7 athletes. Sam Keogh put in a courageous effort over the 400m hurdles, finishing in 1.18.19. In the 800m, Will Dyball was 3rd in 1.53.89, Hugh Thirwall finished 28th overall with 2.13.40 and Gavin Dyball was 40th in 2.29.09.
Nic McGill had a good hit out in the 1500m, running through in 4.16. 93 whilst Lily Sproule won her heat in a new PB of 4.50.70, bettering her previous time of 4.59.9.
Meanwhile Hamish McLaren stretched his legs over 5000m, finishing in 17.13.56.
