Now that the State has reached 80% vaccination, community sports are permitted for fully vaccinated staff, spectators and participants.
To commence our Track and Feld competition, we need to collaborate with Shoalhaven High School because the Athletic Track is located on Department of Education land, and they operate under a slightly different roadmap plan which we need to abide with.
We know it is frustrating not having a definite date to re-start, but we ask that our members be patient for a little bit longer.
In the meantime, to get things moving, we propose having a fun relay event and Cross Country presentation on Sunday the 31st October 2021 at Hollyhill.
Starting at 10am we will have a varied distance relay event over a 1km, and 2km loop.
Each person in a team of two can run a leg or if desired, one runner can run both legs.
We may also have some circular drop-off relays if we have enough numbers.
After the running we will have our Winter Cross Country Presentation, with a late morning tea/sausage sizzle.
EVERYONE is invited! It’s not just for cross country runners. The distances are short enough to inspire our track runners too!
We thank you for your ongoing patience as we wait to commence our track and field competition.
We know everyone is keen to get back to competition, and so are we! So, come join us on the 31st while we wait for permission to use the track.
In the meantime, registrations for 2021/2022 are open via the link on our website. A full breakdown of the membership details can be found on our News Page.
