AACT Under 20 & Open Championships were held on the weekend at the AIS Athletics Field.
Five of Nowra’s athletes competed and all five earned PB’s.
Alisha Mustapic contested the 400m hurdles and ran a PB of 1.15.50. Alisha also ran the 400m sprint and clocked another PB of 1.05.95.
Cooper Barrett finished 6th in his 800m heat with a new PB of 2.01.40. In the 400m he crossed 3rd in 53.97, which was just shy of his PB.
Amelia (Milly) May contested the Opens 1500m and finished in 6th place in a PB of 4.32.47. Nic McGill also challenged the 1500m event and ran a very controlled race to clock a massive 7 second PB of 4.23.23.
In the 400m, Erin Smart was impressive, finishing equal 3rd in her heat in a new PB of 57.09. Erin also finished 7th in her 200m heat in 25.74.
