Our Masters thrower Kerrie Jones competed in the 2021 NSW Masters Athletics Indoor Championships held in Somersby on 28th November with silvery success!
In the Weight throw (4.45kg), Kerrie’s third throw of 8.67 metres earned her a silver medal.
In the Super Weight throw (9.072kg) Kerrie pulled a big throw out in round 4, achieving a Personal Best distance of 6.18 metres for another silver medal.
In shot put (3kg) Kerrie started off with a throw of 5.88 metres and built to 5.99 metres before tripping in round three. However, Kerrie recovered and came back in round 4 with 5.98 metres, then in round 5 improved on this with 6.36 metres, which won her another silver medal.
What a fantastic start to the Track and Field season for Kerrie.
