Round 13 of cross country was held at Berry on Saturday 10th July under bleak skies with rain threatening, but that didn’t stop a collection of runners from traversing the riding school course, which included a new ‘bridge’ to make navigating the mud a little easier.
There were six competitors in the 2km event with Malachy Martin crossing the line first, followed by Randira DeSilva then Miller Bell. Airlie Stevens, off a 7.30 minute handicap, moved her way through the field to finish fourth, in the fastest time of 8.58.
