Erich Moeller-Duhme and Eva Moeller-Duhme both set new records in the 400m event on Wednesday 11th December 2019. Erich ran the one lap of the track in 1:30.15, shaving off his previous record time of 1.34.52 that he set on 20th November. Meanwhile Eva ran 2:08.52 smashing her old record of 2.16.30. Congratulations to both these athletes who continue to show persistence and enthusiasm for the sport of running.
Also achieving a record was Tori Sayer in the discus circle, throwing 29.38m for a new record in her age group. Congratulations Tori.
On the track our fastest 400m runners were Ryan Flemming with a 1.00.28, Jackson Jennings with 1.03.35 and Scott Martin with 1.05.43.
In the seniors 100m it was an interesting contest between Jackson Jennings, Erin Smart and Paul Musgrove. Jackson took the win in 12.95 with Erin not far behind in 13.39 followed by Paul in 13.58.
In the 150m it was great to see some of the youngest athletes giving it their all. Olivia Rabey, Evie Smart, Dean Osgood, Kian Park and Tom Smart all put in a great effort.
Liam Dooley was the victor in the 1000m senior race clocking 3:02.79. He was followed by Ryan Flemming in 3:04.56 and then Scott Martin in 3:10.57. Cameron Baxter took out the junior event in 3:32.00 then Hunter Park was second in 3:51.78 and Lachlan Rabey was third in 4:02.16.
In the 3000m event Harrison Baxter set the pace and led the race until the closing stages. It was a close finish with Liam Dooley taking the eventual line honours in 10.47.33 just in front of Scott Martin who clocked 10.47.98 and Harrison ran in third in 3:02.79 .
In the long jump Paul Musgrove recorded the biggest jump putting 4.57m on the board. Mireille Smith recorded 4.01m whilst Tom Brookes jumped 3.89m, Myra Betts achieved 3.80m and Lily Sproule reached 3.48m.
Having fun with the hammer throw event, Ron Cox threw 28.28m, Mel Jennings recorded 22.32m, Kerrie Jones 22.28m, and Talea Miller 22.22m.
