Easter Saturday was not just for eating chocolate and hot cross buns! There was also cross country to be run!
Round 2 of the Winter Cross Country Pointscore was held at Willandra Saturday afternoon. There were many visitors to the area who took advantage of the beautiful weather and came to run too!
In the 1km race visiting runner Jundamurra Smith was the first across the line followed by Darcy Greenhalgh with local runners Noah Dyball third and Will Anderson fourth.
In the 2km division 1 winner was William Polinelli from the ACT. Ella Colusso was the fastest female over 2kms finishing second in 9.31 minutes and Darcy Arnold was third.
In Division 2 Lexie Burinaga was first with Charlie Braddick second and Katie Martin third.
The 3km event was won by Max Dobson from Sutherland with Duncan Loane from UTS Norths second whilst Abbey Dunn was third.
Division 2 saw Tracey Vaughan claim victory with Zac Peters in second place and Andrew Havadjia in third.
Division 1 of the 4km was won by Rhys Flood with the fastest time of 15.51 minutes. Bradley Sawyers was next across the line followed by Peter Dooley. Crossing in forth place was Jaylah Hancock-Cameron who set a new female record with a time of 15.52 minutes. Jaylah was followed by training mate Rumer Williams in 16.15 minutes.
Division 2 was won by Lucas Johnson with Phillip Duncan second and Peter Heald third. Meanwhile Division 3 was taken out by Rosemary Morgan. Megan Fitt claimed second place and Alex Arnold took third place.
In the 8km event it was visiting runner Matt Johnsen who took line honours with local teenager Jesse Buckham second and Bill Broughton third. Crossing fourth was Elisha Bell as the first and fastest female in a time of 38 minutes. Matt Lewis crossed in 6th place with the fastest male time of 29.34 minutes.
Finally Division 2 was won by Natasha Toms with pal Sky Martin close on her heels and Eric Moeller-Duhme was third.
