Whilst the point score rounds have finished there is still more cross country running on the calendar with some non-point score no-pressure running to be had at Longreach and Timberhills over the next two weeks.
There will be a sealed handicap run at Longreach on Saturday 22nd July and then a fun cross-country relay run at Timberhills on Saturday 29th July.
The grand finale of the season will be a novelty run at Willandra on Saturday 5th August with the season presentation to occur after the run. Trophies will be awarded on this afternoon for the first three placegetters in each division of each distance. There will be a free sausage sizzle to enjoy too! In addition, the Club will be launching their new uniform with a mini fashion parade! Dont miss out! This is a new initiative for trophy presentation this year so athletes don’t have to wait till next year to receive their awards. You need to come along to see if you won! Remember many of the point scores were close over the Winter season so you could be a podium winner! Come along and find out! Even if you don’t take home a trophy come along and share an afternoon of running and friendship at the beautiful Willandra.
