Handicapped starts were in place for round 2 of cross country at Huskisson on Saturday 12th April.
There were just 2 athletes in the 1km event. Grace Parmenter was first across the line in 7.48 and Olive Zadkovich was 2nd in 8.14.
In the 2km race, Jameson Day took the line honours in 7.47 followed by Heath Lee in 11.29 and then Xander Day in 14.22. Kirralee Lee was 4th in 15.05 and Jess Linn was 5th in 16.20.
There were 9 athletes in the 3km event. Amelia Harper crossed 1st in 16.33 whilst Cathleen Chang was 2nd in 20.41 and Declan Lee was 3rd in 20.58. The fastest over this distance was Macca Davis who clocked 12.01, closely followed by Kai Thirwall with 12.42 who were 6th and 7th respectively.
Medium course had 15 competitors. Hugh Thirwall, hot off his Nationals debut on the track, took the win in 23.11. Nicholas Harper was 2nd in 30.35 and George Connolly was 3rd in 23.20. Dennis Smart was the quickest on course in 20.48.
There were just 3 runners running 10kms this week. Erich Moeller-Duhme crossed the line 1st in 1.00.05 followed by Perry Strand in 47.44 and Scott Johnson in 52.00.
Easter Saturday, cross country will be held at Longreach Rd. We hope to see everyone there for an EGGciting run.
