Friday Night Path and Trail on 15th November, headed out to Greenfields Beach, Vincentia for the hill challenge. The run is completely on a bush track that ascends to the water tower and descends back to the finish.
2km
First home in the 2km course was John Smith, who came out to run the course as a warm up for the State Relays the following day. Well done, John and thanks for the commitment. Robyn Khourey, Rommy Hazell and our youngest runner, Luka (just 6 months old) completed the podium.
5km
The baker’s dozen started the 5km course. Angela Bond was warming up for the Stromlo on Sunday, while Joanna Bailey travelled from Darwin to be there. Back markers Jarvis and Perry Strand, set up a running duel with fellow back marker, Jasper Arnold. Crossing the line first was Jarvis, who ran under 3.30’s in the last two kms to pip Kiah Findley on the line. Jasper was third across the line while Territorian, Joanna Bailey, ran well to take fourth.
Next week it’s back to The Wharf, Nowra. Bill Turnball will be filming the race using his drone. Come along to be a star in the blockbuster! 6.30pm start for both the 2 & 5km.
