Erin Smart set a new record in the 40-49 years 600m on Wednesday 30th October, clocking 1:40.77, bettering her previous record of 1.42.11. Toby Dyball set the pace in the race clocking 1.30.89 followed by Tom Brookes in 1:40.59 who encouraged Erin home.
Simon Donougher had a good run over 600m, finishing in 1:58.98. Macarthur Davis took the win in his heat with 2:08.52, and Emerson Boatswain won heat 1 in 2:09.84.
There were 2 heats of the 1500m. Macarthur Davis took out heat 1 in 5:32.02. Gavin Dyball was 2nd in 5:33.96 and Peter Dooley was 3rd in 6:01.37. Heat 2 was won by William Heffill in 6:07.02 followed by Ivy Donougher in 6:51.16 and then Maggie Ball in 7:17.55. Evie Smart demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and support when she ran the 1500m a second time to encourage Isla and Hazel Saviane through their race.
There were many juniors sprinting 60m in under 10 seconds including Maiya Donougher 9.14, , Kadance Naylor 9.36, Evie Smart 9.43, Nakita Boatswain 9.45, Zoe Musson 9.47, Hendrix Blinksell 9.55, Evie Binney 9.55, Chase Carraro 9.89, Charli Binney 9.91 and Josie Sproule 9.95.
In the field, Kadance Naylor speared another new javelin record of 33.50m, just edging out her previous record of 33.47m.
The junior high jump saw Zepplin Blinksell clear the bar at 1.20m and Chase Carraro clear 1.15m. Emerson Boatswain and Macarthur Davis both jumped 1.05m whilst Darcy Binney, Heath Lee, Braxton Naylor, Ivy Donougher and Myla Carraro all cleared 1.00m.
Maiya Donougher had a good jump of 4.11m in long jump, not far behind dad Simon Donougher who jumped 4.28m. Sam Keogh jumped 4.02m and Timothy Musson jumped 3.99m.
