At track and field competition on Wednesday 25th September there were 4 new records set.
In the field Sam Keogh jumped 8.53m for a new record in the 40-49 years triple jump whilst Anne Boatswain hurled the hammer 21.52m for a new 40-49 years hammer record.
On the track, in the 800m Erin Smart ran 2:30.28 for a new 40-49 years record and Eva Moeller-Duhme set a new 70+ record with 5:35.04.

In the long distance track event, Toby Dyball won the 2000m in 7:12.36. Denzel Atkinson was 2nd in 7:26.03 and Gavin Dyball was 3rd in 8:05.01. First female home was Emerson Boatswain in 4th place in 8.20.18 and Airlie Stevens was 5th in 8.23.16. Our youngest athletes pushed hard over this distance and were impressive including Hazel Saviane who finished strong in 11.54.23 and Jameson Day who clocked 12.28.29.
In the sprints, Toby Dyball was the fastest across 200m with a time of 25.35. Steve Schott was next quickest with 26.75 and Denzel Atkinson clocked 27.73. Also sprinting well were Alisha Mustapic (28.18), Jack Fenton (28.79), Harry Thomson (28.90) and Maiya Donougher (29.54).
In the throwing arena Tim Musson threw 10.17m in shot and 34.95m in discus for the biggest throws of the night. Also demonstrating some great throwing prowess were Nakita Boatswain, Kadance Naylor, Steve Schott and Scott McLaren.
It was great to see our junior athletes jumping to new lengths in the long jump pit. Addison Galloway jumped 3.71m, Kiefer Spearpoint achieved 3.05m, Isabella Ansah 2.83m, Jameson Day 2.76m and Ivy Donougher 2.74m.
