Round 11 was held at Huskisson on Saturday 15th June on a very cold and wet afternoon. This was a Rebel Sport sponsored round with Rebel gift vouchers awarded to the winner of each distance. Congratulations to Sam Dennett, Katie Martin, Natasha Toms and Perry Strand who took home the vouchers.
In the 2km event, Sam Dennett was the only competitor and confidently set off on his own in the rain, finishing in 9.31 to earn his Rebel voucher.
Katie Martin overtook Emma Stevens in the closing stages of the 3km race, to take the top podium spot in 18.08, whilst Emma finished 2nd in 21.45 and Brad Stevens was third in 15.04. Fastest over 3kms was Tom Smart with a time of 12.15. Macca Davis was not far behind with 12.21 and fastest female was Airlie Stevens with 12.39.
Medium course was won by a surprised Natasha Toms in 31.38. Sam Keogh was 2nd with 24.20, which was the fastest female time, and third was Gavin Dyball in 23.09. Hamish McLaren was the quickest over 5kms with a time of 19.06 and Scott Armstrong was next fastest in 19.58.
Perry Strand took the win in long course from a field of 8. Rebecca Cooper crossed 2nd in 54.01 and Scott Martin was 3rd in the fastest time of 41.39. Tiffany Knight was 4th in a fast time of 43.59 followed by Darcy Arnold in 49.57. Scott Johnson, Glen Mustapic and Peter Khourey rounded out the 10km event.
