Thrower extraordinaire Kerrie Jones competed in the NSW Masters Heavy Weight Pentathlon on Sunday 17th December in Penrith at the Parker St Oval. Kerrie enjoyed the challenge of this event which consists of 5 different weights. With a total of 15 throws, it certainly tested the athletes strength and endurance.
In the 3kg weight Kerrie threw 11.70m whilst in the 4kg weight, Kerrie managed 9.56m. Next up was the 5.45kg where Kerrie threw 8.65m then in the 7.26kg, Kerrie achieved 7.01m. In the final weight of 9.08kg, Kerrie’s biggest throw measured 6.23m.
Kerrie attained a total of 2757 accumulated points across the 5 weight throws, giving her 2nd place.
