Round 7 of the Winter Cross Country Competition took place at Huskisson on Saturday 27th May.
There was just 1 competitor in the 1km event; Hayley Astin-Briggs who completed the course in 9:43.
In the 2km event, Ashleigh Astin-Briggs took the win in 15:32 whilst Elijah Junor-Cook was 2nd in 11.38 and Joshua Astin-Briggs was 3rd in 13:54. Rebecca Junor-Cook was 4th in 14:07 and Malachy Martin was 5th in 14:23.
The 3km event was taken out by Harry Thomson in 14:47, which was the fastest time over this distance. Ryder Monkerud was 2nd in 17:15 and Timothy Musson was 3rd in 16:48. Next home was Mikaela Monkerud in 14:52 as the fastest female followed by Elizabeth Davis in 16:59 then Macarthur Davis in 16:01 and rounded out by Tom Brookes in 8th place in 15:31.
Medium course was contested by 15 athletes. 1st across the line was unregistered runner Ann Swinbourne in 34.04 but it was Donna Johnson who took the winning points as 1st member home in 38:46. Nicholas McGill was next to finish in 18:19 which was the fastest time. He was followed by Gavin Dyball in 24:26 then Alex Arnold in 33:32. Mia Monkerud crossed the line in 6th place as the fastest female with 22.27.
From a field of 8, Scott Johnson was the winner of long course in 49:34. Darcy Davis was 2nd in 45:19 and Scott Martin was the fastest athlete in 3rd, finishing in 43:42. Dean Bryce was 4th in 49:32 followed by Rebecca Cooper in 54:54 then Erich Moeller-Duhme in 59:08. Julia Mitchell crossed in 59:11 and Peter Khourey completed the field in 51:31.
