Round 5 of Winter cross country was held at Hollyhill on Saturday 13th May. It was a very small contingency of athletes but nonetheless enthusiastic group. There were 3 competitors in the 2km event, with Hendrix Blinksell taking the win in 7:20, whilst Winter Bell was 2nd in 12:41 and Ezekiel Blinksell was 3rd in 8:20.
In the 3km event Madeline Oke was the winner in 16:10. Next across the line was unregistered runner, Reece Andrews, followed by William Anderson in 21:42, then Miller Bell in 22:43 and Paul Duncan in 20:30.
The medium course had 11 competitors. Scott Armstrong was first home in 18:38 with Darren Morris 2nd in 29:04 and Andy Depree 3rd in 27:22. Nicholas McGill was 4th across the line in the fastest time of 18:23. Cameron Baxter was 5th in 19:25 followed by Emily McLaren in 25:05, then Donna Johnson in 40:34, Olivia Oke with 28:55, Hamish McLaren in 20:35, Alison Havadjia in 38:20 and rounded out by Harrison Baxter in 20:30.
Long course winner was Elisha Bell in 47:17, crossing in front of hubby Martin Bell who finished in 52:44. Jasper Arnold was 3rd in 44:55, Scott Johnson was 4th in 50:52 and Graham Anderson was 5th in 51:54.
