It was a record-breaking night in the field on Wednesday 18th October with 6 new records set by our throwers.
Emerson Boatswain speared 20.11m in javelin for a new record in the 10-11 years group. Kerrie Jones also speared a new javelin record, achieving 12.93m in the 70+ age group.
Kerrie Jones recorded a 2nd record in the hammer throw with 20.83m. She was joined by Tori Sayer who broke the 30-39 years record with her throw of 28.67m, Tim Musson who threw 24.45m for a male 40-49 years record and Anne Boatswain who achieved 20.11m for a female 40-49 years record.
Congratulations to all these athletes on these great achievements.
Meanwhile on the track, Scott Armstrong took out the 1500m in 5:22.89 followed by Gavin Dyball in 5:35.75 then Peter Dooley in 5:48.08. The junior race saw Evie Binney take the win in 5:43.47 with Tom Smart 2nd in 5:46.99 and Toby Graham 3rd in 6:02.95.
Toby Graham won the junior 600m in 2:04.90 followed by Tom Smart in 2:10.71 and then Emerson Boatswain in 2:13.37. The senior race was won by Toby Dyball in 1:29.76 with Hamish McLaren in 2nd place in 1:43.62 and Erin Smart in 3rd place in 1:47.64.
There was plenty of enthusiasm in the sprints from our junior runners, especially Charli Keogh, Jack Saviane, Wyatt Binney, Emerson Boatswain, Phillip Ansah, Archie Higgins and Darcy Binney.
